Broward Virtual School
Teachers and staff are welcome to any questions, or concerns and are open to talking with you about it. I've, personally, been very adamant that I must do everything on my own, but knowing I can reach out to my teachers for feedback or questions really made that intimidating aspect of working independently less scary.
It also helps and trains you on working on your own and how to organize your days which is a useful trait. When communicating with my teachers- both, via in person or email- they helped clear up any confusions I had and were willing to talk with me further on the subject if I still had difficulty understanding.
This school has a welcoming heart to it. Seminole County Virtual School has been a wonderful experience and allowed me to move through high school at a faster pace and graduate early. It would be helpful if they could offer more clubs and awards for top students. It is evident that the school encourages God in every day.
I feel as though I am free to talk about my faith to anyone whenever. Also, since it is a small school it is easy to get to know most everyone in the school. Our senior class is extremely close and hold each other accountable. Ever since our new principle, the academics and focus on learning has increased as well. This is my first year as a student at Texas Online Preparatory, and it is not like any other school I have ever attended.
The teachers make sure you really understand the lessons and work through any issues or problem areas you have in a certain subject. My peers and I all have the same mindset: They are polite and also help one another with any problem areas in class. The clubs are very broad and for every type of hobby, and they are a great was to meet new people. I enjoy being able to do online school. The teachers are all very helpful and excellent. Many courses are available as well, including core classes, electives, and career technical options.
Charlotte Virtual was a great way for me to obtain my diploma. It was easy to use and I was able to do my work on my own time and work as fast or slow as I wanted. It is hard work, don't foul yourself, but quality over quantity anyday leads to greater success. Don't go here if you want to slack off or not make the most out of each moment. You have to be a self-learner to a certain degree and you have to be willing to reach out for help with the amazing teachers.
Life smarts and academic smarts are what I got here and that is what is going to propel me to be a better individual in the long run. If you are not serious about your education and believe having a carefree and unbalanced social life then go to a traditional school, don't bother going here.
Now if you are serious and want quality then consider this school. It will hold you accountable to going above and beyond and in the long run that is what will sustain you to be a better person. Orange County Virtual School is truly amazing! I always found myself being forgotten in traditional classroom settings, especially so in courses where I needed the most guidance.
All of my teachers genuinely cared about my success and made an effort to help me keep on track to graduate. The administration and guidance officers were all so kind and organized I am so happy to have graduated from Orange County Virtual! We have done this school for 2 years now and we love it! I love that my kids can move at their pace for each subject. I love the distant teachers and how helpful they are.
Testing is easy and not stressful. They know my children individually and treat them well! They work with me and have always been respectful and helpful. They found things off the internet they could do, emailed me so I could check it on my phone, sent me PDFs so I could print off things at the library, etc My experience at California Preparatory was an amazing time in my life.
I attended Capistrano Valley High School regular public school at the beginning of my Freshman year, but switched over half way through the year. I switched over and it changed my life. I was presently surprised to be able to attend classes and meet with fellow peers and teachers. This program gave me one on one interaction with my teachers and advisors, while giving me the time and flexibility to do other things besides school in my life. At Cal Prep both the teachers and guidance councilor's gave me amazing advice.
Due to the programs they told me about I was able to skip a year of high school, by taking courses at my local community college. The one thing I would change about Cal Prep is better advertisement for peer bonding events. The view events that they had were poorly advertised, and I often didn't know about them till after the date.
I love the school. It is much easier focusing online and completing the coursework. I am challenged in my courses, and I can take more classes online for the same amount of time I would spend in a traditional classroom. Its easy to get into a class you want and they have the curriculum as a normal public school. This is my second year attending Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School and I could not be happier with the amount of support my teachers and counselors have provided me with.
Not only has PALCS provided me with an inspiring environment to study and to learn, but it also has taught me the importance of leadership in group settings throughout everyday life. In the future, I hope PALCS continues to offer the same learning experiences and aid to students entering high school, struggling through course material, or applying to colleges.
Thanks to PALCS, I am on the road to success with an advanced education that will enable me to perform to the best of my ability at a university! The schools academic classes are great the teachers are great and they make sure that you understand what is going on. If you don't then you can work with the teacher one on one to see were you are struggling. This philosophy distinguishes not only what MTS teaches in its forward-thinking STEM program, but what type of advanced techniques and tools it uses in its teaching, such as social-emotional learning.
